The London Evening Standard and The London Community Foundation have today written to The Sun editor-in-chief Tony Gallagher to thank him for The Sun’s donation towards their Grenfell Tower Fire Appeals. The Sun donated £100,000 to the appeal and urged readers to also donate. The letter praised The Sun’s financial support that allowed the appeal to respond quickly with much needed support for the residents and their families.
